Museum of Contemporary Art
住所: No. 39號, Chang'an West Road, Datong District, Taipei City, Taiwan 103 .https://www.mocataipei.org.tw/tw
The museum building was built during the Japanese rule in 1921 for what later became Jiànchéng Elementary School, which now occupies a new structure on the back of the historical building. It became an important landmark thanks to its highly recognizable symmetrical building and belltower. After the city government had moved to the new location in Xinyi district, it was designated as a historical building, and re-opened on 27 May 2001 as Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei (MOCA Taipei), as the first museum in Taiwan to be dedicated exclusively to contemporary art.
Famous Eel Rice Fei Qian Wu
住所: 10491, Taiwan, Taipei City, Zhongshan District, Lane 121, Section 1, Zhongshan North Road, 13號No. 1 .Named best Unagi Rice in Taiwan by local and foreign foodies!
The name “Fei Qian Wu” if read literally would mean, “the house before becoming fat”. Originally, however, “Fei Qian” refers to the old Hizen Province of Japan. No gimmicks or eye-candy luxuries, this casual and authentic eatery serves their visitors in the same way they've always served. A true mom-and-pop gem.
CKS Memorial Hall
住所: 100台北市中正區中山南路21號 .The square became Taipei's site of choice for mass gatherings as soon as it opened. The nature of many of those gatherings gave the site new public meanings. The hall and square became the hub of events in the 1980s and early 1990s that ushered Taiwan into its era of modern democracy. The roof is blue and octagonal, a shape that nods to the number 8, a number traditionally associated in Asia with abundance and good fortune. Two sets of white stairs, each with 89 steps to represent Chiang Kai Shek's age at the time of his death, leading to the main entrance.
